Most people coming through the doors for the first time will come to Guest Services with questions! Guest Services will give you the opportunity to point people in a direction that can help them walk with God. Whether it is a question about Grow Zone, TILT tickets, retreat sign-ups or pointing someone towards baptism information, you will be a part of someone’s story.
Since this is the primary place people get information, we ask our Guest Services volunteers to serve twice a month on the same team. This will ensure that you stay current on the events going on at Port City.
When it is your time to serve, come behind the information desk to get your nametag and begin serving! You will serve for approximately an hour before and about 15-30 minutes after the service depending on the crowd and demand at Guest Services.
Arrival times:
8:15 for the 9:00 service
10:15 for the 11:00 service
3:15 for the 4:00 service
5:15 for the 6:00 service
Tshirts: You will be provided with a guest services t-shirt. If you are scheduled to serve in the front of desk, we ask that you do wear your t-shirt to help guests identify who is an available volunteer for questions. Your first volunteer t-shirt is free! Additional t-shirts can be purchased for $5.00 in the bookstore.
Info book: An information book all about Port City Community Church has been provided for you to equip you to answer most questions most effectively. Please take some time and read through this book. Please feel free to ask any additional questions after reading through it.
